During 1992 to 2000 a webmaster used to send their website to search engines along with meta-tags and keywords etc. And search engine used to index the website/pages without checking or filtering the website/page’s contents.

After 2000 search engines have a long process to check, recheck and filter websites/pages/contents before indexing and including in search results. Now Google is the biggest search engine of the world it have 80% shares it means 80% people in the world search from Google.com. Yahoo and Bing have 12% shares and all others have 8% shares. Now Yahoo and Bing are one.
