WASHINGTON (Web Desk) – United States Senate’s Foreign Relation Committee is scheduled to discuss terms with Pakistan in context of anti-terrorism efforts in a parliament session on September 8.
Chair of the committee has invited a notable analyst, Anand Sharma to express his thoughts about challenges faced by United States and Pakistan to meet common interests.
While talking to Dunya News, Sharma said that United States can pressure Pakistan in regards to ‘Do More’ demands while lawmakers will express their opinions of the large-scale Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
However, he said that Obama administration is fully aware of the threat of alliance of Pakistan, Turkey, Russia and China if aid is halted to Pakistan for an extended period of time or noose around it is tightened.
The committee may demand off Pakistan to do more in regard to war on terror but sanctions on it cannot be approved, he said.
