Five of a family gunned down in Gujrat

Some unidentified persons opened fire and shot dead five members of the same family in Moeen-ud-Dun Pur area of Gujrat on late Sunday night, Dunya News reported.

All the victims died on the spot. Those who were killed in the incident included manager of a private bank Tasawur Shah, his wife, two sons and a daughter.

Tasawur was the brother-in-law of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) district chairman Adeel Shah.

Police after arriving at the incident site cordoned off the area and has initiated search into the matter.

Police sources said that old enmity was the reason behind the brutal incident as the family has seen several such cases in the past.

Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif while taking notice of the incident has ordered immediate arrest of the culprits.
