There are many private educational institutes in Pakistan that are doing a great job, We have school chains like Beacon House, Roots, City School and elite schools and colleges like Aitchison, LUMS, GIKI, NUST, COMSATs etc and many, many others.
However private schools are out of reach of millions of parents in Pakistan who send their children to government school where conditions are horrible.
But how horrible they truly are I had a little glimpse today.
My masi brought her daughter to work today who studies in class six. When the work was done, the girl asked me what the time was.
I knew she studies in a school so I asked her why she cannot tell the time by looking at the clock as she studies in class six.
The girl looked very confused. I did not want to embarrass her so I told her the time but I kept on thinking that if a school going girl who studies in class six cannot tell the time, what future do these children really have?
Our government must raise the standard of education in government schools. Without education, there is no hope and no future for millions of children of Pakistan.
Hey, i read your article but at this point of time. The Pak Government assign very low part of budget to education. Even it was low but they never spent 40% of that allocation, They bring all budget to development programs which is not nation development but their own financial development by heavy commissions. They are economic terrorists.
