It is a sad reality that many writers from Pakistan do not have a very good reputation when it comes to social network sites.

For many young men and women being online is a way of having fun, time passing and indulging in inappropriate activities.

However, now there is a great opportunity for young people of Pakistan to earn some genuine money by writing on many worldwide sites. It is important that we do not waste or squander away these opportunities and improve our manners and way of thinking.

If you are serious about working from home and earning money then you have to remember some important points:

No plagiarism: This is the first rule of online writing. You cannot copy stuff from books and Internet and pass it along under your name. This is theft and one sure way of having your account deleted.

Have a good pen-name: I have seen people with names like CoolAli6578, PrincePakistani786, BarbieDoll 555. Please remember, no one will take you or your work seriously with names like these.

Keep away from religion and politics: Until and unless you have a great deal of knowledge and can defend your arguments with correct verses of the Holy Quran and hadith or talk knowledgeably, do not get involved in fights and arguments regarding religion and politics. If you are knowledgeable, then continue debate with patience and good manners. Your own posts should have sources cited for others to read and verify

Respect diversity: There are a great many religions, cultures, beliefs and traditions in the world. Please do not use abusive language. Do not be rude or offensive and respect other people’s lives.

Respect yourself: On writing sites, do not beg for likes and comments. Please get over this beggar mentality. Work hard and money will follow.

Please remember that when we are online, each of us is the ambassador of our country. And our religion. When we plagairise or are rude or offensive, we destroy the image of our country.
