For a nation and society to progress and flourish, justice is the most important thing. When it comes to justice, the opinion is undivided among great men irrespective of age, gender, religion and era to which they belonged.
I would like to share with you quotes by some great men regarding justice:
"O people! The nations before you were destroyed because if a noble/rich person committed theft, they used to leave him, but if a weak person among them committed theft, they used to inflict the legal punishment on him." Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
"Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted; the indifference of those who should have known better; the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most; that has made it possible for evil to triumph." Haile Selassie.
"At his best, man is the noblest of all animals; when separated from law and justice he is the worst." Aristotle
"I'm for truth, no matter who tells it. I'm for justice, no matter who it's for or against." Malcolm X
Injustice can destroy nations as it allows evil to triumph, the innocent to suffer and the guilty to prosper.
Can we stand up for truth and justice today irrespective of our religion and nationality today? Is the world today not suffering because there is too much injustice in this world on every level?
