Three dead as car hits oil tanker on Karachi's Super Highway

Atleast three people died after a brutal collision of an oil tanker with numerous vehicles near DHA City on Karachi’s Super Highway on Wednesday.



The speedy oil tanker going to Hyderabad from Karachi crashed with a car at the front and with another oil tanker at the back.

A fireball erupted which left the tanker into flames.



The inferno heightened after more vehicles coming after the tanker crashed into it and caught fire.

A trailer had atleast 25 vehicles which were all enveloped by the flames.



Initially two fire brigade vehicles arrived at the scene but due to greater intensity of the fire two more were summoned.

Both the tracks of superhighway were closed after the accident and traffic was suspended.



Rescue officials faced difficulties in reaching the incident site due to traffic blockage. They pulled out two dead bodies from the vehicles however; rescue efforts are still underway.

Police and Rangers officials also arrived at the scene.
